Second phase of the World Summit on the Information Society (Tunis, 16 18 November 2005)

Preparations for the second phase of the World Summit on the Information Society, Tunis, 16 to 18 November 2005

UNCTAD co organized with the Partnership a one day WSIS parallel event in Tunis on measuring the information society.

One of the draft paragraphs of the Tunis Commitment recognizes that ICT could reinforce and increase existing social and economic divisions and widen the gap between individuals, including men and women.

He was subsequently held in the 9 April prison in Tunis and then transferred to Sousse civil prison, and finally returned to the 9 April prison, where he is currently in detention.
