The organization has three kinds of membership affiliates, general membership and life membership.

Furthermore, CEB members observe that the report does not contain a comparative analysis of cost efficiency in terms of the ratio of costs to output for example, the proportion of the cost of staff engaged in procurement to the total cost of the volume of procurement undertaken.

Finally, merit and competence must be the criteria for hiring and promoting staff, including national staff, who commonly stagnate in their careers.

The Board reviewed the management of rations at peacekeeping missions and the progress made in the implementation of previous recommendations.

The membership consisted almost exclusively of management, with no representative of the stakeholders, and only one independent external member.

It was to be hoped that that process would encourage new members to join the Organization and former members to rejoin.

The Advisory Committee reiterates its view that, wherever feasible and cost effective, national General Service staff and national officers should be hired to carry out required functions, especially in the support component.

The proposal was for a total of 101 international staff, 233 national staff and 37 United Nations Volunteers.

The Executive Committee of CECOEDECON is the governing body of the organization and consists of 11 members a Chairperson, a Vice Chairperson, a Secretary, a Treasurer, and seven other members.

The surviving members of the Canadian Hong Kong forces were interned in camps operated by the Japanese, both in Japan and in Japanese administered territories.

The commission would in this sense remain national in character its composition, however, would be mixed to include both international and national members, the former constituting the majority.

23. The Court has set up a new Computerization Department, composed of two persons, drawing upon personnel of the Finance Department.

Members who have served the organization for a long time are offered life membership by the executive committee.

At UNOCI, throughout 2004 05, the rations unit chief changed three times, while the rations unit post for a Quality Assurance Assistant was vacant.

During the biennium, Member States reached an agreement on efforts towards the implementation of the basic human right to adequate housing.
