2. The amount of the retirement pension shall be determined as follows

The employer is required to grant a holiday at the time requested by a parent raising a child of up to 7 years old, and a parent raising a child between 7 and 10 years of age must be granted a holiday during the school holiday of a child, if the parent so wishes.

3. A judge who ceased to hold office before the age of sixty and who would be entitled to a retirement pension when he or she reached that age may elect to receive a pension from any date after the date on which he or she ceases to hold office. Should he or she so elect, the amount of such pension shall be that amount which has the same value as the retirement pension which would have been paid to him or her at the age of sixty.

3. In 1930, there were 41 workers per retiree.

The respite care program assists families of children with disabilities in need of relief care and also enables families to participate in counselling or treatment programs to benefit their children.

The obligatory age for men retiring is the same it is 65 years of age or 40 years of pension seniority, while the voluntary age for men retiring is 65 and 20 years of pension seniority.

5. Regarding retirement age the combined 3rd and 4th report has touched upon the matter of retirement age for men and women, and has suggested that the pension policy be revised.

(d) Judges who have served a term of four years and who retire in 1999 or 2000 shall receive an increase in their pension as follows. As noted above, judges retiring in 1999 shall receive an annual pension of 26,500 dollars. Their annual pension shall be increased to 31,000 dollars in 2000 and to 35,500 dollars in 2001. With regard to breast feeding leave, according to the regulations, female workers can take 60 minutes off every day for 12 months to breast feed the baby and still get paid.

The payment recognizes the extra costs associated with the birth or adoption of a child, including loss of income while on unpaid maternity leave.

Awards contain a range of provisions to help workers balance their work and family responsibilities. These include flexible hours of work provisions, 12 months of unpaid parental leave at the time of the birth or adoption of a child, and paid carer's leave.

As the Fund continues to mature it will rely more heavily on investment income for the payment of pensions and related benefits.

The increase in the number of rural women benefiting from retirement allowances or pensions is on the order of 85 over the decade analyzed.

For women, the obligatory terms are 60 years of age and at least 20 years of pension insurance, while either men or women who do not have 20 years of pension insurance acquire the right to a pension with at least 25 years of pension seniority in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

However, as the number of staff members retiring and beginning to draw benefits increased, along with membership of the Fund (which stood at about 85,000, compared with about 80,000 two years previously), more growth would be needed to cope with future obligations.

4. A member who has served for less than a full term of nine years shall be entitled to a retirement pension in the amount of that proportion of one half of the annual salary which the number of months of his or her actual service bears to one hundred and eight.

According to the Holidays Act, in force as of 2001, a mother or father shall be granted parental leave at his or her request for raising a child of up to 3 years of age.

Government Decree 33 2003 ND CP on April 2, 2003 stipulating that disciplinary measures are not applicable to women workers who are pregnant, on maternity leave, raising child under 12 months of age and male workers raising child under 12 months of age.
