In particular, the Agreement took as a given that both parties would respect the delimitation and demarcation determinations of the Boundary Commission.

The agreements reached shall enter into force together with the completion of the demarcation process.

Article 4.15 further provides that, the delimitation and demarcation determinations of the Commission shall be final and binding.

When the Delimitation Decision was rendered, both Parties accepted it and its delimitation of the boundary, as indeed they were bound by the Algiers Agreement to do.

Ethiopia rejected the delimitation decision of the Boundary Commission, in gross violation of the two Algiers Agreements.

This was a flagrant breach of article 4.15 of the Algiers Peace Agreement, which states The parties agree that the delimitation and demarcation determinations of the Commission shall be final and binding.
