Article 3 calls upon the State to eliminate all forms of exploitation.

But it may not be plausible to argue that capability deprivation is equivalent to human rights deprivation, unless the freedoms that are lacking when there is a deprivation of capabilities are identified with and claimed as human rights.

Eliminating demand for trafficked women and girls for all forms of exploitation

34. It was now widely accepted that the practice of putting children to work in dangerous or exploitative conditions must be eradicated.
