The increase in requirements for furniture and equipment is related to the acquisition of office automation equipment.

6.14 A provision of 6,100 is proposed for acquisition of office automation equipment.

Non post requirements of 26,300, at the maintenance level, would cover communications ( 9,200) maintenance of office automation equipment ( 10,100) office supplies ( 3,400) and replacement of office automation equipment ( 3,600).

6.32 An estimate of 15,400 is proposed for the purchase of new data processing equipment and the replacement of office automation equipment for the Executive Office.

6.20 Resource requirements in the amount of 23,500 are proposed to provide for the acquisition of office automation equipment.

Non post requirements, at the maintenance level of 43,200, would cover communications ( 11,200) maintenance of office automation equipment ( 20,200) office supplies ( 3,300) and replacement of office automation equipment ( 8,500).

6.13 The estimated requirements of 2,800 relate to maintenance of office automation equipment.

The non post resource growth of 26,500 reflects mainly replacement of office automation equipment, including the specialized equipment required for the work of the Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf in dealing with submissions of coastal States.
