First, we must strengthen the global partnership.

We should strengthen cooperative relations among various stakeholders and promote voluntary partnerships for disaster reduction.

The strategy provides for ways to consolidate and strengthen the Organization's information work in support of the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD).

For that reason, we fully subscribe to the Africa Action Plan, and will continue to play an active role within the Africa Partnership Forum, in close cooperation with our African partners and the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD).

The Institute is consolidating its continued cooperation with the mass media in a partnership focused on strengthening publicity to as many partners as possible.

Partnerships have been established or strengthened within and outside the United Nations system.

Italy looks forward to advancing, with all partners, the implementation phase of our commitments, in the spirit of the mutual accountability and enhanced partnership emerging within the Africa Partnership Forum.

Members of the Collaborative Partnership on Forests have also found the Partnership to be a functional means of efficient cooperation.
