(c) Voter registration in preparation for the forthcoming elections

When adopted, the constitution and the electoral law will provide the framework for the upcoming elections.

Aware of the forthcoming Palestinian legislative elections,

Lebanon is poised to hold a presidential election that none of its contending factions indeed, none of the rival parties in the region can afford to lose.

(f) To ensure that the forthcoming parliamentary elections will be held consistent with the commitments of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe and other international standards for democratic elections

Our aim must be clear to make the upcoming national elections an example of free and fair elections.

The United Nations was glad to have been able to provide assistance to the electoral authorities and would do so again for the upcoming Palestinian Legislative Council elections.
