Brazil's epidemiological indicators describe a situation in which developed countries (cardiovascular and chronic degenerative) typical diseases coexist with those typical of developing world (maternal mortality and malnutrition).

And that makes it just really hard to tell how the disease is going.

If we slow the disease, we may have more of a benefit on patient survival, patient outcome, how they feel, than if we shrink the disease.
