The First and Second Superior Courts belong to the first judicial district, which has jurisdiction in the province of Panamá, part of Colón, Darién and the special province of San Blas.

Territorial organization article 66 of the Judicial Code establishes that the territory of the Republic has four judicial districts. These are divided into judicial circuits, which are subdivided into municipal circuits.

Our practices in this regard are consistent with those of major law enforcement agencies elsewhere.

The third judicial district is made up of the provinces of Chiriquí and Bocas del Toro, while the fourth judicial district is made up of Herrera and Los Santos provinces.

This judicial district has five judges and five alternates.
