This training is aimed at eliminating the stereotypical notions that women are the persons solely responsible for their children's nurturing and upbringing.

The active implementation of the National Target Program on Education and Training, together with the above mentioned efforts of the Ministry, has continued to contribute tremendously to the guarantee of equal rights for women and child girls in education and training.

1.1 Education and training

In European countries, access to primary education is guaranteed under national legislation, but variations exist in access to secondary and tertiary education and to vocational training of adolescents.

(8) Training Net for Trainers on Distant Education

209. It is the view of the Committee that training and education in the principles and provisions of the Convention on the Rights of the Child is urgently required and must encompass all professionals working with or for children.

At present 1.7 per cent of students in vocational and educational training are indigenous women, an increase on the reported 1 per cent in 1995.

In Colombia, there were 14 schools for the preparation, training and specialization of personnel in different categories for officers (inspectors) training which lasted for one to three years.

While international programmes have been launched to provide some teachers with human rights training, the current curricula do not include human rights education programmes, nor have curricula or textbooks been revised in the light of human rights principles.

Also, in the Health department a new cancer management and detection initiative is planned and in the Education department increased human rights and globalization education training will be carried out.

Adult education is designed for persons aged 15 and over who have not followed or completed a course of basic education and includes literacy training, primary and secondary education and vocational training.

In Tomaševski's views,the impact of a rights based education should be assessed by the contribution it makes to the enjoyment of all human rights .

The right of migrant children to education and training was also guaranteed, since all children in Venezuela were allowed to continue their studies in the Bolivarian schools.
