Feminized poverty and women's lower socio economic status are directly connected to their work in the sex industry.

The realisation of sexual and reproductive rights counteracts the feminisation of HIV Aids and the epidemic in general and contributes to the empowerment of all women and to a more equal and prosperous world.

Courses in the history of culture taught tolerance for cultural and gender differences and dealt with the gender equality, male and female roles in society and feminism and sought to inculcate creative and critical thinking that went beyond gender differences to the value of individual personality and talents.
