Rental of an aircraft is at a fixed monthly rate of 32,100 for 20 flying hours per month, 10 additional hours per month at the rate of 1,100 and insurance of 4,000 for the period.

Expenditures amounted to 531,000 for a total of 326.76 flying hours at 1,625 per hour.

The cost estimate is based on the authorized operational flying hours of 60 hours per month or 720 hours per year and a requirement for 288,000 litres of fuel at a cost 158 per 1,000 litres.

The cost estimate provides for requirements for up to 100 hours per month at a fuel usage of 1,270 litres per hour at a fuel cost of 0.30 per litre ( 285,700) plus lubricants at 10 per cent of the total fuel cost ( 28,600).

Provision of 1,347,000 is made for the hire cost of three AN 26 fixed wing aircraft at a monthly rate of 37,417 based on a minimum of 60 block hours per month per aircraft.

Provision is also made for the rental of a medium utility helicopter (Bell 212) at the rate of 1,500 per flight hour for 30 flight hours per month ( 540,000).

Determination of a general protective norm of 8 hours a day and an average of 42 hours a week (working hours can be reduced by collective agreements) and a maximum three months period taken for purposes of calculation
