Consistently higher than standard vacancy rates have been experienced by the Office of the Prosecutor during the biennium 2004 2005.

The proposed OTP budget for 2006 7 amounts to 72 million and reflects an overall net reduction in posts and non posts amounting to over 11 millions or 13.7 in comparison with the 2004 5 OTP budget.

The Office of the Prosecutor and the Registry have devoted particular attention to working closely together in the field.

Kuwait stated that its central authorities were the Ministry of Justice and the Office of the Prosecutor.

On the basis of such arrangements, the United Nations has already rendered assistance to the Office of the Prosecutor on a number of occasions.

Measures taken to improve the management and efficiency of the Office of the Prosecutor

In parallel, the Office of the Prosecutor has encouraged the relevant authorities at the working level to intensify their co operation.

The OTP is faced with similar difficulties in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
