Even today my complaint is rebellious. His hand is heavy in spite of my groaning.

Even to day is my complaint bitter my stroke is heavier than my groaning.

As for those who do not believe in the Hereafter, We have prepared a painful punishment.

And those who do not believe in the Hereafter We have kept prepared for them a punishment, most painful.

and that those who do not believe in the world to come we have prepared for them a painful chastisement.

And that those who believe not in the Hereafter for them We have gotten ready a torment afflictive.

And that those who believe not in the Hereafter (i.e. they disbelieve that they will be recompensed for what they did in this world, good or bad, etc.), for them We have prepared a painful torment (Hell).

And those who do not believe in the Hereafter We have prepared for them a painful punishment.

and warns those who do not believe in the Hereafter that We have prepared for them a grievous chastisement.

And that those who believe not in the Hereafter, for them We have prepared a painful doom.

As for those who do not believe in the Hereafter, We have prepared a painful punishment for them.

and for those who do not believe in the Everlasting Life We have prepared for them a painful punishment.

And that those who do not believe in the Hereafter We have prepared for them a painful punishment.

(It also declares) that for the disbelievers We have prepared a painful torment in the life to come.

And that (as for) those who do not believe in the hereafter, We have prepared for them a painful chastisement.

and warns those who deny the life to come with grievous punishment.

And to those who believe not in the Hereafter, (it announceth) that We have prepared for them a Penalty Grievous (indeed).

Can he against whom the sentence of punishment has been justified (be rescued)? Can you save him who is in the Fire?

So will the one upon whom the Word of punishment has proved true, ever be equal to those who are forgiven? So will you guide and save the one who deserves the fire? (Because the hearts of some disbelievers are sealed).

He against whom the word of chastisement is realized shalt thou deliver him out of the Fire?

Is he then on whom is justified the decree of torment wilt thou rescue him who is in the Fire?

Is, then one against whom the Word of punishment justified (equal to the one who avoids evil). Will you (O Muhammad SAW) rescue him who is in the Fire?

What about someone who has deserved the sentence of punishment? Is it you who can save those in the Fire?

(O Prophet), can you save him (from chastisement) against whom the sentence of chastisement has become due him who has, (as it were), already fallen into the Fire?

Is he on whom the word of doom is fulfilled (to be helped), and canst thou (O Muhammad) rescue him who is in the Fire?

Can he against whom the word of punishment has become due ? Can you rescue someone who is in the Fire?

Can you save from the Fire he whom against the word of punishment has been realized?

Then, is one who has deserved the decree of punishment to be guided ? Then, can you save one who is in the Fire?

How can you rescue the one who is destined to suffer the torment?

What! as for him then against whom the sentence of chastisement is due What! can you save him who is in the fire?

But what of him against whom the sentence of punishment is justified? Can you rescue one who is already in the Fire?

Is, then, one against whom the decree of Punishment is justly due (equal to one who eschews Evil)? Wouldst thou, then, deliver one (who is) in the Fire?

Can your heart endure, or can your hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with you? I, Yahweh, have spoken it, and will do it.

Can thine heart endure, or can thine hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with thee? I the LORD have spoken it, and will do it.

He will sip it, yet will not be able to gulp it down. Death will crowd in upon him from every side, but die he will not. A terrible torment trails him.

He will sip it with difficulty but be unable to swallow, and death will approach him from every side and he will not die and a severe punishment is after him.

the which he gulps, and can scarce swallow, and death comes upon him from every side, yet he cannot die and still beyond him is a harsh chastisement.

Which he gulpeth, but wellnigh swalloweth not. And death cometh upon him from every side, while yet he is not dead, and behind him is a torment terrible.

He will sip it unwillingly, and he will find a great difficulty to swallow it down his throat, and death will come to him from every side, yet he will not die and in front of him, will be a great torment.

He will guzzle it, but he will not swallow it. Death will come at him from every direction, but he will not die. And beyond this is relentless suffering.

which he will gulp but will scarcely swallow, and death will come upon him from every quarter, and yet he will not be able to die. A terrible chastisement lies ahead in pursuit of him.
