430. There is nothing in the law which prevents membership of a labour organization, the establishment of a labour organization or joint efforts by labour organizations.

There were no recommendations addressed exclusively to the International Labour Organization (ILO).

Mr. Ndjonkou (International Labour Organization (ILO)) said that ILO identified gender as an issue with a cross cutting impact on all its programmes and activities.

The representatives of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the International Labour Organization (ILO) made statements.

He also regretted that there was no reference in the report to the activities of ILO which was, in his view, the only competent organization in the area of labour standards.

72. The issue of taxation of officials is included in the submission provided by the International Labour Organization (ILO) (see annex IV).

169. The representative referred to the ratification of a number of International Labour Organization (ILO) instruments, including ILO Conventions 89, 100 and 101.

Myanmar has been cooperating with the International Labour Organization (ILO) in resolving the issue of forced labour.

Among the other conventions to which it had acceded were the International Labour Organization (ILO) Convention No. 138 concerning the Minimum Age for Admission to Employment and ILO Convention No. 182 concerning the Prohibition and Immediate Action for the Elimination of the Worst Forms of Child Labour.

The development of the ILO IMO Code of Practice on Security in Ports, which is a joint work with the International Labour Organization (ILO) has been completed and the code has been approved by the ILO Governing Body in March 2004 and by the MSC in May 2004.

According to the Director General of ILO, ILO and its constituents should participate actively in the various bodies working on the drive to achieve the Millennium Development Goals by ensuring that the ILO mandate is fully integrated into a coherent international framework and the voice of employers' and workers' organizations occupies its rightful place.2

The results of the labour force and manpower surveys, undertaken by UNDP and the International Labour Organization (ILO) in support of the Ministry of Labour, were released in December.
