Of the apportionment of 9,170,600 gross, expenditures amounted to 6,966,500 gross, resulting in an unencumbered balance of 2,204,100 gross.

The difference between gross and net emoluments is requested as a global amount under the present section.

The total estimated expenditure for the same period amounts to 404,418,678 gross.

5. Expenditures total 46,988,000 gross ( 45,428,900 net), resulting in an unencumbered balance of 9,117,000 gross ( 8,279,700 net).

The expenditures for the same period total 481,123,000 gross ( 468,000,600 net).

6. The total resources made available to the Military Observer Group for the period from 15 February to 31 May 1997 amount to 4 million gross ( 3,956,300 net) and the expenditures for the same period total 3,946,000 gross and net.

5. Expenditures at the end of the reporting period totalled 3,946,000 gross and net, resulting in an unencumbered balance of 54,000 gross ( 10,300 net).

The Committee notes that, of the total appropriated amount of 66,902,600 gross, expenditures reported total 70,225,500.

Expenditures for the same period are estimated at 68,810,814 gross and an amount of 10,362,690 gross ( 9,503,012 net) has been credited to Member States.

27. The total resources made available to UNOMIG for the period from 7 August 1993 to 30 June 1998 amount to 79,991,804 gross ( 75,806,204 net) and the estimated expenditures for the same period total 68,810,814 gross.

Total estimated requirements for the next six month period amount to 131,292,800 gross ( 119,953,100 net), resulting in total revised requirements of 298,399,300 gross ( 275,762,900 net) for the 12 month period.

9. The total resources made available to UNPREDEP for the period from 1 January 1996 to 30 June 1998 amount to 123,327,600 gross ( 119,818,300 net) and the expenditures for the same period total 116,803,500 gross ( 114,187,700 net).

Expenditure for the period totalled 38,850,800 gross ( 36,408,000 net) (see A 59 619, sect.

28. The total remuneration payable to a consultant by the United Nations should be specified in the consultant contract in terms of gross amounts.

The unspent balance of 21,752,900 gross ( 19,524,600 net) represents, in gross terms, some 12 per cent of the amount appropriated.

7. The expenditures recorded for UNPF for the period 1 July 1996 to 30 June 1997 amounted to 46,780,000 gross ( 42,856,800 net), resulting in an unencumbered balance of 3,467,200 gross ( 4,094,200 net) from the appropriation of 50,247,200 gross ( 46,951,000 net).

In addition, the report contains the proposed budget of a total of 7.1 million gross for the maintenance of the Support Group for the period from 1 July to 15 October 1998 ( 5.6 million gross) and its liquidation thereafter ( 1.5 million gross).

As indicated in the performance report (A 59 714), the expenditures for the period amounted to 111,201,000 gross ( 96,320,500 net), resulting in an unencumbered balance of 874,800 gross ( 435,100 net) in gross terms, 0.8 per cent of the approved resources for the period.

The change from gross to net budgeting was thus effected smoothly.

In 1996, the number of sheep was 638,116 and the gross volume of raw wool sales totalled 3,504,252.

Resolves that, for the biennium 2002 2003, the amount of 248,926,200 dollars gross (223,169,800 dollars net), approved in its resolution 56 247 B for the budget of the International Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, shall be increased by 13,727,500 dollars gross (12,785,200 dollars net), for a total amount of 262,653,700 dollars gross (235,955,000 dollars net)
