The Millennium Declaration emphasized the issues of development and eradication of poverty, protection of the environment, human rights, democracy and good governance.

Our target of poverty eradication is not 28 per cent by 2015, but 10 per cent by 2017.

Within this new approach, the Government, in collaboration with CSOs, professional organizations, universities as well as poor families, launched a poverty eradication movement.

The struggle against poverty must come from the poor themselves, not from the elite or the marketplace.
