Yesterday, Lucky Air, Okay Airways and other airlines announced that from October 5, 2018 (the date of issue), each passenger will be charged for 20 yuan and 30 yuan fuel surcharge for domestic routes below 800 km (including) and above 800 km respectively.

Additional provision is made for lubricants and additional delivery charges at 10 per cent each of total fuel cost ( 743,500).

According to the relevant responsible person of the Ctrip flight tickets, the airline has indicated in the notice that the fuel surcharge will be charged according to the original ticket issue date. When the passenger ticket is exchanged, the fuel surcharge will not be refunded and compensated.

Cathay Pacific announced on September 27 that it will charge the fuel surcharge on November 2 again.

The collusive behaviour distorted competition in the fuel market to the detriment of the end customer who bought fuel from filling stations.

From October 5, many airlines will raise or resume fuel surcharges. From next Friday, traveling by air will ask for raises.

The cost estimate includes provision for lubricants, calculated at 10 per cent of total fuel cost ( 101,900).

Provision is made based on an estimated total consumption of 64,800 litres of fuel per month (360 litres per hour for 90 hours each helicopter) at 0.23 per litre for two medium utility helicopters ( 178,800), plus 10 per cent for oil and lubricants ( 17,900).

Additional provision of 25,500 is made to cover the cost of diesel fuel based on the rate of 0.25 per litre.

The increased fuel cost reflects additional delivery charges levied by the supplier.

The additional provision also includes the cost of oil and lubricants at 10 per cent of the cost of fuel ( 4,800), taking into account the amount of 27,500 already provided for the six month period.

4. Additional requirements of 2,731,400 are attributable to higher than estimated costs for aviation fuel and lubricants as a result of an increase in the number of hours flown by helicopters during the elections.

Provision of 213,100 is made for (a) 5,000 for the replacement of the current aviation fuel refuelling system in the outstations from barrels by emplacing bladders with the necessary pumps and filters and (b) 208,100 for the replacement of miscellaneous equipment, as indicated in annex II.B
