They're workin' away at our spirits. They're tryin' to make us cringe and crawl...

Some creep with a onetrack mind.

Then the little bugs got to be bigger bugs and sprouted legs and crawled up on the land.

It's part of what we call the reptilian core of the brain, associated with wanting, with motivation, with focus and with craving.

It could crawl overboard on its own!

I love the way that they can stare at a bug crossing the sidewalk.

Well, it's because its brain had been infected with a lancet fluke that was needed to get into the belly of a sheep or a cow in order to reproduce.

These are mammal like reptiles.

Salmon swim upstream to get to their spawning grounds, and lancet flukes commandeer a passing ant, crawl into its brain, and drive it up a blade of grass like an all terrain vehicle.

And they grow and grow by stages. And they climb out of the water, burst out, as the adult which we see.

You get fungi, you get fish, you get plants, you get amphibia, you get reptiles, and then, of course, you get the dinosaurs.

Unfortunately, this group of insecticides are also heavily relied on in agriculture, animal husbandry, space spraying, and for household pest control.

Co evolution entwined insects and birds and plants forever.

You can vary enormously.

Many insects have been used by plants as vectors for the transport of the pollination, but not just insects even birds, reptiles, and mammals like bats rats are normally used for the transportation of the pollen.

And in fact, without insects, we would not be here in this room, because if the insects die out, we will soon die out as well.

Then comes the fishes and the reptiles and the mammals.

And what they're doing is very interesting they're digging through the cow patties for the maggots, the grubs, the larvae of flies.

And it happened to be at a time when people were just starting to begin to realize that dinosaurs weren't the big, stupid, green reptiles that people had thought for so many years.

That means that in terms of biomass, insects are more abundant than we are, and we're not on a planet of men, but we're on a planet of insects.

Or another analogy would be, a caterpillar has been turned into a butterfly.

Then you might like the mountains.

If we die out, the insects will continue very happily.

Now, the human has a whole other way to rise to the top, and that is a prestige route, which is freely conferred.

Another way of thinking about it is instead of thinking of babies and children as being like defective grownups, we should think about them as being a different developmental stage of the same species kind of like caterpillars and butterflies except that they're actually the brilliant butterflies who are flitting around the garden and exploring, and we're the caterpillars who are inching along our narrow, grownup, adult path.

And then the maggots will jump on my warmer tongue the dog is kind of used up and then I'll spit them one by one down on the thing.
