4. The informal group had before it drafts of the following documents

A National Committee was formed in September 2000 to prepare the first draft of the report. The committee consists of representatives from various governmental agencies and non governmental organizations.

In response to references to the Group's draft report that had begun to appear in the media, the Committee issued a press release on 22 July 2004, in which it stressed that the draft report was still under consideration by the Committee.

Absolute prohibition of torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment

The Working Group requested that, on the basis of those comments, the secretariat should prepare the first full draft report for paragraph by paragraph consideration by the Preparatory Committee.

Many delegations made copies of their interventions available to the working group.

A meeting of senior level experts will be organized in order to finalize the issue papers.

Members of the Working Group will receive copies of the draft work done so far for comment.

This draft would be discussed at the next session by working group II, which could invite resource persons and non governmental organizations to take part in discussions incorporated into a revised draft, which would be distributed to all experts before the next session.

A full draft was presented to the Voorburg Group in Helsinki in 2005.

Based upon the discussion in the Working Group (see above, paras. 180 to 205), an informal drafting group composed of a number of delegations prepared a revised version of certain of the provisions relating to electronic commerce as they appeared in A CN.9 WG.III WP.47.

Draft report of the Working Party on the Medium term Plan and the Programme Budget on its forty fifth session

UNHCR noted that a draft report on how to implement quot greener quot procurement policies would soon be finalized this would take into account the current practices of other organizations.

339. At the same meeting, the Sub Commission adopted the draft report and decided to entrust the Rapporteur with its finalization, taking into account the amendments made by the members.

The Working Group recommended that the secretariat should circulate the first full draft report to Member States of the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space well ahead of the 1998 session of the Preparatory Committee.

The Working Group is invited to provide the Secretariat with preliminary comments on the draft, to enable the finalization of the study before the next session of the Working Group.
