Consultations between WHO, the International Labour Organization (ILO), UNEP, FAO, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) resulted in the establishment of the Inter organizational Programme for the Sound Management of Chemicals (IOMC).

The OECD Working Party on Information Security and Privacy, comprised of government and private sector representatives from OECD Member countries, has conducted work related to authentication for a number of years.

For this purpose, UNIDO collects this annual data directly from approximately 150 countries not members of OECD, while it receives data for OECD member countries through OECD to avoid duplication of efforts.

The Office participates, with the status of permanent observer, in the Working Group on Bribery of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), which monitors implementation of the OECD Convention on Combating Bribery of Foreign Public Officials in International Business Transactions of 1997.

At the request of OECD, UNCTAD has created a working group on audit questions and has organized two meetings of this group.

The participating organizations of IOMC are the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the International Labour Organization (ILO), the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), UNEP, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

Has participated in the Working Party of the OECD Committee on Fiscal Affairs.

Business and trade union organizations continue to cooperate on sustainable development issues in such international agencies as the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the International Labour Organization, the United Nations Environment Programme and the World Health Organization.

Notes with satisfaction the enhancement of cooperation between the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and the Economic Cooperation Organization, especially in such areas as industrial cooperation strategy, the transfer of technology, plans of action for small and medium sized enterprises and standardization, and invites the United Nations Industrial Development Organization to continue contributing to relevant activities and projects of the Economic Cooperation Organization

Besides the OECD the second point of reference, of course, is the work that is going to begin at the WTO in the recent established Working Group.

Kyrgyzstan supports the participation in the work of the committee of such organizations as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Euro Asian Economic Union and the Central Asian Cooperation Organization.

3 The members of the drafting group included representatives from the World Bank, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the Economic Commission for Europe (ECE), the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the World Tourism Organization, the World Trade Organization, the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the United Nations Statistics Division (Chair).

The programme will build on work undertaken by related groups at the regional level, including the Economic Commission for Europe OECD Eurostat Steering Group on Business Registers the Eurostat Steering Group on Structural Business Statistics the OECD Short Term Economic Statistics Expert Group (task force on short term indicators for services) the OECD Working Party on Indicators for the Information Society and the OECD National Experts on Science and Technology Indicators.

15. ESCAP is also seeking cooperation with ECO in the implementation of a project on investment promotion for the mining industry in the ECO countries.

25. Following an official visit by the Secretary General of ECO to the headquarters of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in Vienna in March 1998, UNIDO proposed the following two industrial projects for the ECO region

UNCHS (Habitat) and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), along with the Habitat Solidarity Programme, and the Habitat International Coalition (HIC), have produced a directory of non governmental organizations in OECD member countries which are active in the field of urban development.
