We would support consideration of establishing a civilian rapid deployment mechanism consisting of judges, administrators, police and election observers on a stand by basis for United Nations missions.

Accountability of international personnel taking part in peace support operations

The peace support operation would deploy its military component to monitor and verify the Ceasefire Agreement and to support the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement.

We support the Secretary General's proposals for administrative reforms.

Welcomes the advisory service activities of the International Committee of the Red Cross in supporting efforts made by Member States to take legislative and administrative action to implement international humanitarian law and in promoting the exchange of information on those efforts between Governments

The Swedish Government, as well as the National Council of Swedish Youth Organizations, strongly support the reaffirmation of the World Programme of Action for Youth.
