The presidency issued decrees to establish the Assessment and Evaluation Commission, the National Petroleum Commission, the Fiscal and Financial Allocation and Monitoring Commission and the Technical Ad Hoc Border Committee.

By decision 1 COP.5 establishing the CRIC, the COP decided that, at sessions held during the COP, the CRIC shall regularly review reports prepared by the secretariat on the execution of its functions.

The third session of the Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention (CRIC) will be held from 2 to 11 May 2005 in Bonn, Germany.

The report by the Technology and Economic Assessment Panel and the Chemicals Technical Options Committee includes some excerpts and comments on the Executive Committee study.

This process has been enriched by the lessons learned, the dynamics of the CRIC sessions and the exchange of ideas, suggestions and proposals offered by various participants during the third session of the CRIC Through the review of implementation carried out by the CRIC potential action was identified, which could be undertaken at the national, subregional, regional and international levels.

By its decision 1 COP.5, the Conference of the Parties (COP) decided to establish the Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention (CRIC) as a subsidiary body to assist in its function of regularly reviewing the implementation of the Convention.
