Well, heart cells are pretty greedy.

It was the greed and recklessness that led to the drilling explosion.

Let us agree that people are greedy, and that they always want more than they can afford. Why, then, did this greed manifest itself so manically?

The next time you see somebody driving a Ferrari don't think, This is somebody who is greedy.

Smart and greedy bankers and traders will always find ways to circumvent new rules

Greed manifests itself in the form of competition for, and exploitation of, wealth and resources. That has led to conflicts everywhere in the world.

You know, we're often told that we live in very materialistic times, that we're all greedy people.

And one who lives for my home theater, a home theater where I devour DVDs, video on demand and a lot of television.

Victims of physical abuse, children also have to endure the beastly fantasies of warlords.

Greed, selfishness and irrationality will visit catastrophe upon us, from which those who refuse to accept a different world born of solidarity and justice will not be spared.

In mentioning greed and exploitation, my delegation would like to highlight one fact we must live in peace not only with one another, but also with nature and the environment.

On the other hand, the covetousness of profit and investment maximization has, many times, relinquished the principles of protection of women and their families, of the social security in cases of temporary or permanent incapacity of the workers.

And, yes, financial markets require close supervision and regulation. But what is true of financial markets need not be true of other markets.

I'm not greedy.

Policy mistakes may not always be avoidable. But they at least can be corrected. That, however, requires first looking more deeply into the root causes of the problem.

They are exploited in order to satisfy the selfish appetites of a handful of irresponsible politicians who lust for power and are sometimes in the pay of multinationals greedy for sordid and disgraceful profits.
