For calculating cost changes, up to date rates and standard costs are subsequently applied.

Provision is made for international civilian staff at the rates indicated in annex II.A, with the application of a vacancy factor of 5 per cent.

The positive growth of 5,100 reflects the application of new standardized vacancy rates.

In cases where imported goods, to which contractual tariff rate or preferential tariff rate is applicable are subject to temporary rate, the lower tariff rate shall apply.

The rate was applicable for only two and a half months (1 July 14 September 1996), while the higher rate of 949.70 per flying hour was applicable for the remaining nine and a half months of the financial period.

The new rates were proposed to be effective 1 January 1999, with no retroactive application.

The provision of 105,700 was based on standard rates applicable to military contingents.

The rates and standard costs utilized in the recosting include inflation and exchange rates, standard salary costs, common staff costs and vacancy rates.

On the basis of the new standard salary costs, version 20, issued by the United Nations, the common staff costs rate applicable to The Hague has been fixed at 47.52 per cent of net salary costs for 2005.

In cases where export goods, to which export tariff rates are applicable are subject to temporary tariff rate, the temporary tariff rate shall apply.

These standard rates are also deemed to be the minimum rates for legitimate children who have become part of the household of a divorced or estranged parent.

Salaries of internationally recruited staff are estimated on the basis of the 1998 standard cost rates for New York and local salaries reflect the scale currently applicable in the mission area.

12. Some 30 per cent of this amount is based on standard cost ratios and costs contained in the standard ratio cost manual, while some 70 per cent is based on mission specific costs and ratios.

It would be adjusted, in accordance with the Agreement, at a certain index rate on that basis, the projection for the 1998 1999 budget would be made, taking into account the exchange rate fluctuations applicable in the recosting process.

Instead of the principle of cost coverage, quot prospective quot rates ( quot per diem rates quot ) have to be agreed upon.

For exchange rate fluctuations, cost adjustments update previous assumptions on the basis of actual monthly operational rates in the country of operation.

Costing adjustments include changes in standard costs such as exchange rates, inflation rates or standard salary costs.

Some 59 per cent of that amount is based on standard cost ratios and costs contained in the standard ratio cost manual, while 41 per cent covers mission specific costs.

Some 64 per cent of the cost is based on standard cost ratios and costs contained in the standard ratio cost manual, while the remaining 36 per cent covers mission specific requirements.

Upon requesting clarification, the Advisory Committee had been informed that the increase was based on the real estate inflation rate at The Hague the general inflation rate for cost of living applied at The Hague by the United Nations was 1.9 per cent.

Support costs earnings for those projects are calculated using rates approved by the Executive Board or by applying rates that are agreed upon with the funding source.
