I strongly support these efforts.

In this endeavour, Greece will spare no effort.

That effort has led to an improvement in the general atmosphere it is incumbent upon both parties to strengthen it.

This has truly been a joint effort.

Japan will spare no effort in that endeavour.

But the effort goes well beyond that.

It was clear that more intensified efforts, which were part of a comprehensive recruitment policy, were needed.

This represents a step forward in the quest for solutions to the most glaring injustices.

Canada is committed to helping in that endeavour.

The Secretariat, for its part, has tried to adapt to this new situation in creative and innovative ways and will pursue its efforts in this field.

The key is to have undertaken this effort and to support it.

Some efforts have been made however, in view of the magnitude of the problem, they are minor.

We are still working on transformation of this institution.

But this is a multifaceted effort.

We must try and deal with that.

Efforts should be made to assist countries such as my own, which are still in the process of consolidating their economic gains.

That is exactly what we are trying to help with.

That is one area in which greater efforts will have to be made.

Further efforts are necessary to reduce these differentials.

UNFPA has supported these and other efforts.

That is exactly what the First Committee has been striving for.

This survey is part of the Secretariat's effort to make a greater contribution to the work of the General Assembly.

Efforts under way to achieve that end were of crucial importance.
