The results of this review are contained in Annex IV of the support budget document.

The budget document indicates how the Agency expects to fund the budget from the different income sources on which it relies.

Such allocations shall be consistent with the project budgets contained in the approved project document or similar instruments.

Paragraph 21 and section D of annex III of the support budget document, indicate that 15 such posts have been transferred to the biennial support budget.

In line with that document, the budgets for the biennium 2004 2005 represent, under the regular budget, a net amount of 144,295,800 and 21,512,370 under the operational budget.

United Nations system wide access and dissemination of pertinent budgetary information through its Intranet, through the maintenance of electronic repositories of selected official documents, has facilitated quick access to vital budgetary information, including budget documents, planning documents, regulations and rules, guidelines on results based budgeting, standard costs and allotment account codes.

This document presents the UNDP support budget estimates and related proposals of the Administrator for the 2006 2007 biennium.

A detailed presentation of the biennial support budget, including all financial information related to that budget, is contained in document E CN.7 1997 14.

Although they are contained in two separate documents, the biennial support budget and the programme budget are intended to be read together and to constitute a seamless whole.

The Committee is of the view that the goal would be to place before the Commission a single document containing the fund programme budget and its administrative and support budget.

The Committee trusts that these shortcomings in the budget system will be corrected in the new budget system discussed in paragraphs 405 407 of the Overview document. (see para. 24 below.)

The present document utilizes the revised sectoral definitions in the presentation of budget proposals.

This points, in the view of the Advisory Committee, to a lack of uniformity in presentation of budget documents.

The existence of these detailed strategic planning documents greatly facilitated the preparation of the programme and budget document in line with RBM principles.
