Consideration of reports of States parties

The Committee considered the second periodic of China (CRC C 83 Add.9, Parts I and II), submitted on 27 June 2003, at its 1062nd to 1065th meetings (see CRC C SR.1062 1065), held on 19 and 20 September 2005, and adopted, at the 1080th meeting (CRC C SR.1080), held on 30 September 2005, the following concluding observations.

1062. The Committee is concerned that in many rural areas legislation relating to birth registration is not fully implemented, which may seriously disadvantage non registered children in the enjoyment of their rights.

IV. IMPLEMENTATION OF PREVIOUS AND NEW RECOMMENDATIONS

The proposed organization of work is based on this recommendation.

Under the programme Care for Minors under Age 5 at Risk , which was launched for the first time in Mexico in 2003, care is provided to 87,000 minors under age 5 who are not attending school, who suffer from some degree of under nourishment and are at risk.

They also proposed to keep the proposals under consideration by the Committee at its fifty ninth session.

Based on the implementation of recommendation 7, it is proposed to adjust the methodology for budget adjustments in accordance with the recommendations of ACABQ (see recommendation 8 in para. 64 below). C. Performance report on the budget and programme
