Charge coupled device (CCD) detectors are planned for these telescopes, which will improve their performance.

Two phased charge coupled devices were to be used as micrometers for both telescopes.

It should satisfy servicing for small remote sensors, CCD cameras, scientific experimental instruments, experimental communications and new technology test payloads.

It will monitor energetic X rays from solar flares and survey the sky with X ray charge coupled device (CCD) sensors along an axis perpendicular to the Sun line.

The satellite is 1.8 m in height and has a diameter of 1.1. m. It has a total mass of 500 kg and as payload will carry a high resolution CCD camera a low resolution camera (Ocean colour monitor) a high energy particle detector and an ionospheric measurement sensor.

Various experiments were conducted between 1996 and 1997 using KITSAT II payloads that include a charge coupled device (CCD) Earth imaging system (CEIS), a low energy electron detector (LEED) and an infra red sensor experiment (IREX).

The Executive Director introduced the four reports before the Executive Board pertaining to UNOPS risk management, reserves and surplus income (DP 1997 26) follow up to recommendations of the report of the Board of Auditors (A 51 5 Add.10) (DP 1997 27) the report of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions (DP 1997 28) and the revised budget estimates of the biennium 1996 1997 and budget estimates for the biennium 1998 1999 (DP 1997 29).

It is based on a system of coupled differential equations for the populations of 80,000 bins in mass, semi major axis and eccentricity.
