This function sets whether a client disconnect should cause a script to be aborted. It will return the previous setting and can be called without an argument to not change the current setting and only return the current setting. Capacity building for the sound management of chemicals has increasingly been recognized as a major priority in the relevant global environmental conventions, the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and, in general, within the international development community. Chemical management capacity building is addressed in Programme Area E of Chapter 19 of Agenda 21, adopted at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) in June 1992.

The default is to build PHP as a CGI program. This creates a commandline interpreter, which can be used for CGI processing, or for non web related PHP scripting. If you are running a web server PHP has module support for, you should generally go for that solution for performance reasons. However, the CGI version enables Apache users to run different PHP enabled pages under different user ids. Please make sure you read through the Security chapter if you are going to run PHP as a CGI.
