Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, Heads the Budget Monitoring and Intelligence Unit (BMIU) an anti corruption mechanism in Nigeria, usually referred to as Due Process designed to ensure full compliance with laid down guidelines and procedures for the procurement of goods and services. Through this mechanism, Dr. Ezekwesili's BMIU, as of the time of preparing this study, has saved her country over US  1 billion that would have been paid out in inflated contracts.

In fact, two famous longitudinal studies the Framingham Heart Study in Massachusetts and the Kungsholmen Project in Sweden have led to important progress in predicting the disease. These studies found that short term memory may be impaired for up to ten years before an Alzheimer s diagnosis.

That is the most pressing immediate question, but America s leaders should also be thinking ahead. America needs a post occupation strategy for Iraq and the Middle East, one grounded in a viable national security strategy for the twenty first century.
