Several developed countries underscored the importance of assessing practical next steps to promote the transfer of these technologies, analysing the means for disseminating useful technology information to countries, exploring synergy between adaptation and mitigation technologies, and enhancing the capacity of countries that need technologies.

The ICT Network (ICT directors of the entities of the United Nations system), in close collaboration with the ICT Task Force, developed a proposal on a system wide ICT strategy.
