This was due in part to the reclassification of contributions made for operations in Iraq as rehabilitation (development) rather than emergency.

In particular, additional resources were requested for 10 new posts, the reclassification of 6 posts and the outsourcing of additional investments.

The following reclassification and redeployments are proposed for the Code of Conduct Officer, the Strategic Planning Officer and the Best Practices Officer

The Committee recalls, however, that 17 posts (10 Professional and 7 General Service) were proposed for reclassification at headquarters in the context of the 2004 2005 support budget.

A total of 24 reclassifications are proposed for headquarters, which are shown in a consolidated table in annex IV to the budget document (23 upward and one downward reclassification).

It would be observed from the agenda items that ACPF has started to place increasing emphasis on the wider range of socio economic problems particularly after the reclassification of its status.

With regard to reclassification proposals, Ghana was pleased to note that the Secretary General had proposed to reclassify 44 posts, applying the criteria set out in paragraph 64 of General Assembly resolution 56 253.

Requests are made for (a) reclassification of the post of the head of the Section, (b) creation of a business analyst post and (c) addition of staff in the three units (Cashier, Payments and Accounts).
