10. Agrees further with the comments of the Chief Executives Board for Coordination on recommendation 7 of the Unit

The Chief of Unit supervises all of the work done in the Unit and performs other managerial functions as required, in addition to dealing with appeals and disciplinary cases.

Further, a local post will be redeployed from the Finance Unit in the Office of Administrative Services to the Security Unit in the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer.

65. The Office of the Chief of Service supervises, manages and organizes the work of the Mission Planning Service, which comprises the Generic Planning Unit, the Mission Development Unit, the Rapidly Deployable Mission Headquarters and the Standby Arrangements Unit.

The Committee is not convinced of the need for a D 1 post for the Chief of the Unit, as the Unit reports to the Director of Change Management (D 2).

The Chief of the Unit plays a pivotal role in the introduction of technology that improves productivity and enhances security.

Currently, the Unit has two Professional posts in the regular budget, one at the P 5 level for the Chief of Unit and another at the P 3 level.

On 30 June 1988, the chief of the preliminary inquiry unit of that authority ordered all potential witnesses to be heard.

118. No additional posts are requested however, the upgrading of one P 3 to P 4 (Chief of Unit) is requested.
