15.41 The amount of 257,600 for post resources provides for one P 4 post.

Two INTELSAT satellites one over the Atlantic Ocean and the other over the Indian Ocean would be used.

Here, with input from South Korea, it is developing plans for a Precautionary Credit Line (PCL). This would generalize and extend its Flexible Credit Line (FCL), under which countries with impeccable credentials are prequalified for automatic access to IMF credit without having to accept onerous conditions.

5.44 The resource proposal in the amount of 1,423,000 provides for the continuation of one P 4 post and non post resources, such as other staff costs, general operating expenses, communications, supplies and equipment.

The question of what savings might be achieved under the new system was therefore simply one of determining how many of those three posts would be necessary.

The messenger sub unit has a particularly high concentration of low level General Service posts.

The conversion of a General Service (Other level) post is requested for the Information Technology Unit for the performance of production control functions.

In some countries, that issue is dealt with in the law itself, by prescribing a fixed sum or establishing a percentage of the total project cost as the minimum capital of the project company.

While this is a comparatively small amount, its misuse or a lack of transparency in its use can convey an improper image both inside and outside the Secretariat.

Of the remaining 41 posts, the functions of 4 posts should be provided through redeployment and the functions of 14 posts through general temporary assistance.
