The seven intergovernmental committees are (a) the Statistical Committee (b) the Committee on Social Development (c) the Committee on Energy (d) the Committee on Water Resources (e) the Committee on Transport (f) the Technical Committee on Liberalization of Foreign Trade and Economic Globalization in the countries of the ESCWA region and (g) the Committee on Women.

The General Assembly approved the allocation of the items proposed in paragraph 71 for the First Committee, the Special Political and Decolonization Committee (Fourth Committee), the Second Committee, the Third Committee, the Fifth Committee and the Sixth Committee.

It was vital that the Commission received the necessary input from Member States and that the Committee should take advantage of the presence of the Commission's rapporteurs.

The Commission on Human Rights currently has 53 members, only one less than the membership of the Economic and Social Council, which elects Commission members.

Appointment of members of the Committee on Contributions

Recommends that the Sub Commission request the Commission on Human Rights to authorize the Working Group to meet annually immediately prior to the session of the Sub Commission

He also met with the Technical Subcommittee and Tripartite Commission members.

FAFICS has participated in and been represented at meetings of the UN Commission on Human Rights, Economic Commission for Europe, Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women, Committee on Non Governmental Organizations, Commission on Social Development, Commission on Sustainable Development and the Commission on the Status of Women.

The Committee believes that this will ease communication between Member States and the Committee.

It also requested the Special Rapporteur to report to the General Assembly and the Commission.

A list of the members of the Committee, indicating the duration of their terms of office, will appear in an annex to the final report of the Committee for 2005.

The Parliamentary Inquiry Committee which was a temporary committee appointed for a limited amount of time, has recently become a permanent subcommittee of the government Ombudsman Committee of the Knesset.

(f) Appointment of members of the Committee on Conferences.

In paragraph 334 of its report, the Board recommended that the International Civil Service Commission expedite the filling of vacant posts.

Composition of the Bureau

Special Political and Decolonization Committee (Fourth Committee)

Unless the Commission decides otherwise, the Commission shall function by way of sub commissions composed of seven members, appointed in a balanced manner

They are attended by the chairpersons or representatives of the Human Rights Committee, the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, the Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women, the Committee against Torture, the Committee on the Rights of the Child and the Committee on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families.

FAFICS is an observer to the Federation of International Civil Service Associations (FICSA) and the Coordinating Committee of International Staff Unions and Associations (CCISUA).

In accordance with regulations adopted by the General Assembly, the Fund is administered by the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Board, a staff pension committee for each member organization and a secretariat of the Board and of each such committee.

The Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, with the Economic Commission for Africa, the Economic Commission for Europe, the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean and the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia ( 800,000)

The Assembly also needs to review its committee structure, the way committees function, the oversight it provides to them and their outputs.

A Credentials Committee of nine members shall be appointed at the beginning of the Conference.

Rule 11

Membership of the Committee and composition of its Bureau

Members of the Committee may not be represented by alternates.

Observers for other States Members of the United Nations and for ___ non member States also attended.

The Committee stresses that responsibility for the preparation of reports to the Committee rests with States.

Members are admitted to the Bar Association by a resolution of the Board.

(b) Member States are encouraged to adopt the draft agenda of the substantive session of the Commission as early as possible at the organizational meetings of the Commission

Austria

The Committee chairman shall attend hearings to respond to any questions of Member States on the Committee's activities.

As in previous years, the Committee reconfirmed that all United Nations Member States and observers wishing to participate in the work of the Committee as observers were welcome to do so.

Also served as member and head of Economic and Taxation Agreement Committee, member and head of Tax Exemption Committee, and member of Tax Appeal Committee.

The Staff Union in New York, as well as the Coordinating Committee for International Staff Unions and Associations, and the Federation of International Civil Servants' Associations, are also involved in this review.

It comprises all States Members of the United Nations, not just a few.

Upon assuming their duties, members of the Committee shall make the following solemn declaration in open Committee

The Secretary General shall provide the Committee with summary records of its proceedings, which shall be made available to the members.

Special sessions of the Committee shall be convened by decision of the Committee.

In addition, members of the Special Committee attend the deliberations of the Fourth (Special Political and Decolonization) Committee of the General Assembly when the reports of the Special Committee are under consideration.

When the Committee is not in session, the Chairman may convene special sessions of the Committee in consultation with the other officers of the Committee.
