Since the last session of the Commission, the project on investment guides has completed, published and launched four guides those to Ethiopia, Mali, Mauritania (in both French and English) and Uganda (an update).

These guides are all available on the Habitat website (http www.unhabitat.org partners index.html) and include guides for national committees, civil society organizations, local authorities, the private sector and parliamentarians.

The Guide builds on the work of UNCITRAL and other organizations.

His delegation was pleased that the Commission had begun discussions on the structure of the draft legislative guide.

In 2003, the High level Committee on the Review of Technical Cooperation among Developing Countries (now known as the High level Committee on the Review of South South Cooperation) indicated the need for South South cooperation to move beyond government alliances to involve key players in the private sector.

Those guidelines, which will come into force on 1 January 2006, will replace the earlier version of guidelines for periodic reports adopted by the Committee at its thirteenth session on 11 October 1996 (see CRC C 58).

Since much of the material for the future Guide was to be found in the report of the current session of the Commission and other travaux préparatoires, the Commission requested the Secretariat to prepare a final version of the Guide to Enactment, reflecting the deliberations and decisions at the current session.

In these guidelines, the IPCC report entitled Good Practice Guidance and Uncertainty Management in National Greenhouse Gas Inventories is referred to as the IPCC good practice guidance.

As was the case of the introductions contained in the UNCITRAL Legal Guide on Drawing Up International Contracts for the Construction of Industrial Works and in the UNCITRAL Legal Guide on Countertrade Transactions, it is suggested that the Introduction explain the origin of the Guide, its arrangement and style, the nature of its recommendations and provide other information of a similar nature.

(e) In the area of insolvency, the UNCITRAL Model Law on Cross Border Insolvency and the UNCITRAL Legislative Guide on Insolvency Law

75. In its submission to the Secretary General dated 7 April 1998, the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR) reported that the matter of large scale drift net fishing had been discussed at the annual meeting of CCAMLR in 1990.
