The provision represents contributions receivable from Member States for prior bienniums and from new Member States at the balance sheet date.

In 1946, the Committee on Contributions had chosen to limit the maximum contribution of any one Member State on the basis of the principle that the equality of Member States might be jeopardized if one Member State were to dominate the Organization s finances.

Her delegation urged current and former Member States in arrears to pay the outstanding amounts and appealed to all Member States to pay their assessed contributions on time.

The Society funds itself through membership fees.

The Board recommends that UNCC invite its Governing Council to review the basis of the processing fee.

Upon inquiry, the Committee was informed that such cost reimbursement would also include the costs associated with the special meeting of the Committee of Actuaries.

The Committee was informed that most overtime was related to security officers.

The American Association of Jurists finances its activities with the contributions of its associates, membership dues, and the income of registration fees in some of its activities.

All Member States should pay their duly assessed contributions, and delinquent Member States should make good their arrears unconditionally.

The various threshold levels applied would be determined by the Committee on Contributions.
