Kicking the Oil Habit

My car burns a lot of gas.

For most of the reporting Parties, the bulk of transport emissions are on account of gasoline consumption by automobiles and other vehicles, while diesel and jet fuel consumption are responsible for a much lower share of emissions.

Keep burning up their gas.

Based on average daily consumption of 15 litres per vehicle for gasoline powered vehicles and 30 litres per vehicle for diesel powered vehicles at 0.4491 and 0.3535 per litre for gasoline and diesel fuel, respectively, plus oil and lubricants at 10 per cent of the fuel cost.

Surging oil prices are draining our foreign exchange revenues.

They are deliberately sacrificing their armor to bleed us dry.

Some scientists predict that the world oil reserves will be used up within a century.

If we want to encourage change of behavior, gallons per mile would have far more effectiveness.
