We're being critical of the West, the perception of the West about our identity about the image that is constructed about us, about our women, about our politics, about our religion.

And the basic punchline of my talk is, I'd like to turn that over on its head.

And I'm going to show you two videos that have gotten a lot of attention recently that I think embody this philosophy.

Today, my delegation presented our views on that matter, including on the Council's working methods.

So this goes against the conventional wisdom that we should tell our friends our goals, right so they hold us to it.

It's also related to the way that we subsidize our people, and all the left and right arguments that we have.

And then finally, we're going to try to develop and pioneer a new perspective on high seas governance that's rooted in ocean basin wide conservation, but framed in an arena of global norms of precaution and respect.

Now our education system is predicated on the idea of academic ability.

The third piece was on values, and again, to put it very briefly, I conducted a test over 500 children spread across all over India, and asked them I gave them about 68 different values oriented questions and simply asked them their opinions.

But it's this irrational view of things that drives us on to the next thing.

This last view of cosmology is called the relational view.

Further, the proposed places to be visited and the officials to meet with have been noted.

SB I think a point of difference we're having, Mark, has to do with weapons and energy.

I want to end by applying the idea of Middle World to our perceptions of each other.

We acknowledge, as a matter of course, the need to attend to the views of others as we hope and expect others will attend to our perceived security needs and concerns.

We moved quickly last night to apologize to our viewers on air and to our followers on Social media.

So that was the basis of it, was one on one attention.

You misunderstand. Your political views do not concern me.

That has been appropriate as we focus on ensuring the mainstreaming of a gender perspective throughout the work of the Organization.

We are pleased to note that the majority of views expressed during the last session reinforced that principle.

We have a goal, and that is to try to win this trophy, and that's where the focus stays.

And we were listening to everybody.

We agree with the Secretary General that

Because I think they're looking at the West, and they're saying, Well, we like that aspect of what you've got, but we're not so sure about that.

We agree.

We share that view.

These filters take us from all sound down to what we pay attention to.

Our preference goes to paragraph 4 (e), which reflects our views.

Now my perspective is a particularly my perspective is a particularly American perspective.

We may take the Gaian view.

Come on, let's go.

I'm now saying we no longer have global aspirations, we have local aspirations.

When I enter into dialogue, I really hope that the other side would pick up my points of view, that I would impress upon them my opinions and my values.

Mr. Rupel raised some insightful points today, which also will remain the focus of our attention throughout 2005.

I think that has been the focus of our attention for the last few months and shall remain, and continue to remain, the focal point of our attention until we find a final solution and come to a conclusion on how we do our work this year.

Our bumper sticker for this view is that this is the joy of debugging.

Africa in particular was the focus of concern.

We believe also that attention must be paid to the Secretary General's view that inability to reach consensus must not become an excuse for postponing this important action.

Now we can generalize the idea.

I don't expect that they will support my view.

Well, gentlemen... i believe i've proven my point.

Our preference is for paragraph 26, which reflects our views.

But with the work we've been doing, focussing on the customers needs, not our own, I think you're seeing a lot of change.

And I think we probably do need to pay some more attention to that, because it's actually kind of fragile.
