74. While recognizing that the right to form and join trade unions is established by law, the Committee is concerned about the excessive number of cases of discriminatory practices by employers against unionized workers, including wrongful dismissal for trade union activities.

The Act also adds that a unionized worker may be expelled or leave voluntarily (358) he is also free not to join that union or any other.

Women's interest and number in trade unions has increased, and so has their participation in training events.
