65. All organizations in consultative relationship shall be able to consult with officers of the appropriate sections of the Secretariat on matters in which there is a mutual interest or a mutual concern.

Cognizant of the mutually beneficial nature of their relations, the two sides agreed on the importance of expanding and revitalizing the mechanisms of consultations in order to address the issues related to bilateral relations as well as regional and international questions in a coordinated manner.

The Parties shall consult promptly, at the request of either Party, concerning the interpretation, application or implementation of this Agreement, either generally or in relation to a particular case.

Finally, monitoring of the implementation of agreements should be the responsibility of both parties.

This concludes my summary of United Nations consultations with the parties.

These details may be modified by the Commission after consultation with the Parties.

Naturally, all parties should, therefore, continue the dialogue and engage in full consultations in search of compromise.

Contacts and coordination between the parties at all levels should be intensified.

Either Party may request consultations regarding any matter relating to this Agreement.

Despite earlier optimism and pledges by both parties to cooperate with UNMIS on this issue, those consultations with a joint committee of the two parties have not yet concluded in an agreement.

In the event of a dispute between the Parties concerning the interpretation or application of this Agreement, the Parties shall consult each other with a view to resolving the dispute through negotiation, investigation, mediation, conciliation, arbitration, judicial proceedings or other peaceful means of their own choosing.

Without prejudice to paragraph 2 hereof, the procedure relating thereto shall be adopted by the Commission at an appropriate moment after consultation with the Parties.

NOW THEREFORE, the parties agree as follows
