We want to be partners.

A public private partnership involves business (including not for profit civil society organizations) working in partnership with official development institutions and government agencies.

We sincerely appreciate the support of our friends in New York, bilateral partners and United Nations agencies, and we look forward to working closely with the international community in advancing appropriate partnerships as a result of those strategies.

In 2004, the development partnership committee was established.

Cooperation with NGOs, national institutions and other partners

Heads of selected partner agencies, mainly of the United Nations system, have been invited to do so at the opening of the session.

This interactive partnership was evident in the design of the Conference, in that Committee II, the quot partners apos committee quot , was specially created for partners apos hearings on, and commitments to, the Habitat Agenda.

Participants recognized that partnerships could come in many forms, not only of governments and communities or NGOs, but also between international organizations, in particular, members of the CPF.

The OECD is a collaborating partner.

(g) Request the Forum secretariat to continue actively participating in and supporting the Collaborative Partnership on Forests as well as enhancing cooperation with relevant international and regional partnerships, processes and bodies.

Moreover, the World Bank, the donor community, and partner countries are working on ways to strengthen their partnerships in order to meet the basic development goals to be achieved by the year 2015.

Members of the Collaborative Partnership on Forests have also found the Partnership to be a functional means of efficient cooperation.

This was consistent with the view expressed by the inter agency committee regarding the need to go beyond inter institutional cooperation and secure the conclusion of bilateral partnerships with country pParties.
