II. COMMENTS AND PROPOSALS RECEIVED

Mr. de ROJAS (Venezuela) said that Finland had joined the sponsors of the draft resolution.

Paragraphs 71 to 97 of that report described a possible ninth proposal, most of the elements of which had been agreed upon by the Committee on Contributions.

The participants agreed to take into account the recommendations of the meeting and have subsequently forwarded a revised draft counter terrorism law for comments.

The sponsor delegation expressed its willingness to amend the proposal to take into account the above observation.

100. The sponsor delegation drew attention to five elements of the proposal

Mr. Mazzoni (Italy) said that he perceived considerable support for Japan's proposal that the draft convention should be deemed not to apply to contracts pertaining to family matters.

Co sponsors do not necessarily agree with all the recommendations made by the Commission, but certainly believe that they constitute a valuable contribution to the debate on the oceans.

San Marino, however, agrees with the principle contained in the proposal circulated by the Uniting for Consensus group.
