And the Disarmament Commission has not delivered any recommendations for years.

The Committee had recommended that the General Assembly should renew its mandate for 2005.

The Advisory Committee recommends that these proposals be approved.

While all four commissions recommended that if impunity is to be eradicated those responsible should be brought to account, no action has been taken on those recommendations by any United Nations organ.

29. The Commission considered that no specific action on this recommendation was required at this time.

We have therefore proposed that the ad hoc committee itself should be charged with the task of considering and making recommendations on the next steps.

390. The Committee recommends that the Commission on Human Rights, at its fifty third session, give consideration to the appointment of a special rapporteur on economic, social and cultural rights.

In our view, the Peacebuilding Commission should be able to determine its own agenda and to provide recommendations and advice to any body as it deems necessary.

65. The Committee now had eight proposals before it, and the prospect of one proposal being accepted by all Member States seemed remote.

It was suggested that the Sub Commission should envisage either the establishment of a working group to consider such questions or their coverage by the mandate of an existing working group.
