For study within Panama, more women than men receive scholarships at all educational levels for study abroad, men are in the majority.

Furthermore, the State grants scholarships to students in high schools, colleges and universities.

Among the 18 students' recipients of the scholarship, 12 were women.

Scholarships were awarded to 398 Palestine refugee students for study at universities in the region.

334. In the case of pupils the amount of social scholarships depends on the pupil apos s material situation and is double the family allowance.

Together, more than 30 scholarships have been granted to UNESCO by the Government of the Czech Republic, but none has been acquired by a student from a Non Self Governing Territory.

The balance of the contribution was used to grant 19 new scholarships, while one additional scholarship was funded by savings resulting from students who did not complete the programme and early graduations of scholars in the previous year.
