In that connection, he states that no legal aid is available to the author to pursue that remedy.

Mr. Barbaro adds that, as a layman, he could not have been aware of any other possible judicial remedies against the decision of the HREOC President.

It is the Committee apos s view that remedial measures should be sought to avoid families apos over dependence on their children, in particular providing them with care in their old age.

While they currently seek compensation, they sought a remedy of restoration at an earlier point and of their own accord modified those pleadings to omit this aspect of remedy.

Nevertheless, it remains concerned about the widespread practice of torture and ill treatment of persons detained by the military as well as by other law enforcement officials.

In accordance with article 3, paragraph 2 (a), of the Covenant, the State party should, in our view, grant to the author the remedy which he has been seeking since 1 July 1989.

What means of redress were available in the case of non compliance?
