In addition, the information on incomes collected in the National Employment Survey for the first quarter of 2004 indicates that 46.2 of women wage earners receive incomes of twice the minimum wage or less this percentage is significantly higher than that for men in the same incomes bracket (32.9 ).

The average income of women is under two minimum wages.

By the end of 1994 the working pay (wages and salaries) dropped by another 21 per cent as compared to 1993.

Income tax refunds are charged to the year in which they are made to the staff member.

The jobs which provide the highest incomes (over five minimum wages) are professional technical and shopkeeper sales these categories account for 60.9 per cent of men with incomes between five and eight minimum wages and for 66.5 per cent of men with incomes above 10 minimum wages.

In fact, these three categories include 92.8 per cent of unpaid female family workers, 94.7 per cent of female workers with monthly incomes below half the minimum legal wage, 88.3 per cent of women with incomes between half and one minimum wage, and almost 62 per cent of women with incomes of one to two minimum wages.

The major sources of income are self employment (54 ), which includes sale of products cultivated or processed in families, wage earning work (19 ) and income from property (6 ).

The contribution rate is based on net salaries (on the employed, 15 per cent, on pensions 3.75 per cent and on cadastre revenues of farmers, 15 per cent).

The second option is to pay wage subsidies instead of wage replacement incomes to allow for the wage dispersion necessary for full employment without letting the incomes of the unskilled fall. This is the strategy chosen by the United States with its earned income tax credit.

(c) To persons who have lost their jobs because of labour contract termination, who have been engaged for half time jobs with wages below the minimum wage.

In the public sector 81.2 of employees have incomes exceeding twice the minimum wage, whereas only 52.6 of employees in the private sector are in this income group.

Income derived from investments, other than trust fund investments, shall be credited to the general fund as miscellaneous income.
