There are essentially four types of reconnaissance satellites, namely photographic, electronic, ocean surveillance and early warning satellites.

The Office will collaborate with ISPRS in that endeavour.

The satellite is 1.8 m in height and has a diameter of 1.1. m. It has a total mass of 500 kg and as payload will carry a high resolution CCD camera a low resolution camera (Ocean colour monitor) a high energy particle detector and an ionospheric measurement sensor.
